Lobes Of The Brain
Occipital Lobe:
Located in the posterior section of the brain.
Input from optic nerve (used for sight)
Outputs to parietal and temporal lobes
Temporal Lobe:
Contains primary auditory cortex (hearing)
Inputs are auditory and visual patterns (speech recognition, word recognition, face recognition, memory formation)
Parietal Lobe:
Inputs from multiple senses: touch, temperature, pressure, pain and head
Outputs to the frontal lobe
Frontal Lobe:
contains primary motor cortex
No direct sensory input
Involved in planning, personality, problem solving, morality and thought
